Hey there people and Happy Sunday to you! I hope you are having a wonderful day, wherever in the world you may be.
I have had a fun weekend carving my very first (and indeed second!) pumpkin! It's all in response to this competition post on ABM.
As I had never carved a pumpkin before this seemed like the ideal opportunity to have a little go and also enter for the chance to win something fabulous!
Obviously, as it's me we're talking about here, I went with a feline theme for my Halloween work of art. Here's the deets:
First, take two pumpkins ....
Assemble your weapons of choice (oh, and a box for all the lovely pumpkin flesh to make a pumpkin pie later!)
Carve out the insides ...
Add the details - tabby stripes, eyes, nose, mouth ...
The carving is complete - now time for the dressage section of today's event!
Aren't we a pretty kitty?!
We head outside into my autumnal garden for a photo shoot. Little Pumpkin Cuddly Cat wanted to get in on the action!
As did my next door neighbours cat!
Back indoors - this is my Pumpkin Kitty in situ - decorating my kitchen.
The final glamour shot - Pumpkin Kitty in all her glory!
I have to say I really enjoyed carving my very first ever pumpkin. I'm so glad this competition gave me the motivation to have a go - it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I can't wait to see it all lit up on Halloween itself with candles.
Do you have pumpkins around your home this time of year?
Have a great day people!!
ps. Don't forget to come back tomorrow to link up all things inspirational!

Kitty turned out really nice! Very creative.
Just popped in from BBN! Love your kitty inspired pumpkin. Maybe I'll do my pumpkin as a kitty too… We have a small hoard here that we've done nothing with so far, and seeing as we're stuck inside for the next couple of days (thanks Sandy) we should really get our carve on.
Such a cute pumpkin kitty!
Thanks for linking to a Round Tuit!
Hope you have a fabulous week!
