Tips and Tricks: How to get Instagram when "Computer says no!"

Hey there people - I hope you are having a fabulous day, wherever in the world you may be. Today I thought I'd share a Tips and Tricks post with you because I am so excited to be on Instagram - finally!
I still have pretty much no idea how it works but hey ho - I'll get to that!
Now, have you ever tried to download the Instagram App from Google Play only to be told that it "isn't compatible with your device"? If so, then read on my friends.
I did a whole bunch of Googling on your behalf and found some fabulous articles which provide lots of technical information, advice and download links.
This article is informative and very interesting and gave me the confidence to try this out. I recommend a read.
Here is the step by step of what to do:
1. Read the article. 
2. Go to this website and download the latest version of Instagram 3.2.0 (The download is near the bottom of the page). NB. If you are reading this post in a few months time and Instagram has been updated to a newer version simply look up the new number on the official download site then do a google search for "download the APK for instagram + the newest number you just found" :)
3. Save it on a USB/SD card (whichever your tablet will accept).
4. Open up the file on your tablet and install. (You might have to click on Instagram once and it won't play ball, then go back and it will do it second time of asking - trust me!)
5. Sign up and away you go!!

I haven't decided on the best way to follow/be followed as yet - does anyone have any recommendations? There seem to be lots of options - instagrid, followgram. I am not sure which is best?! Any recommendations here would be gratefully received.
